i will be adjusting my valve clearance tomorrow and needed some help,
the factory clearances for INTAKE is 0.18 to 0.22 & EXHAUST 0.23 to 0.27, all units in mm, now.. this is the range and is not specific, what i need to know is exactly what clearance do i adjust to, tomorrow is gonna be cold 16 degree Max. and i will be performing adjustments on cold engine.
thanks for any help, guyz!!!

if your range is .006-.007, the clearance is good if the .006 feeler fits and the .007 feeler does NOT fit. If the .007 fits or the .006 does not fit, then the clearance needs adjusting. You want to make it so the smaller of the two feelers fits and the larger doesn't.

To be sure you've adjusted the clearance correctly, try using the next size up feeler. Again, you should NOT be able to fit the larger feeler in, if it is able to slide in then the clearance is too loose and still needs to be tightened.

getting a bit technical.. but makes lots of good sense.
since my aim was just to reduce tapping noise, i'm just gonna stick to the factory clearances, that way i don't have to compromise on any high or low end issues. thanks for your input!
