hi i was wondering if anyone knows how much boost can a d16z6 sohc vtec can handle on stock internals

Depends how thrashed the internals are.

I'd advised of upgrading your internals before turbo. You'll get better use out of it. a turbo will only exacerbated any issues your stock internals may have.

Really important things to consider there.
As you know, it's not a new-ish engine anymore, so it shouldn't be treated like it. :)

i wouldnt run more than 7psi, otherwise you will have major short and long term engine problems. you could look into getting a set of forged pistons. that would help you out abit.
