After purchasing my stock EG Hatch i noticed that compared to my other cars, the headlights were very poor on low beam?

I have since upgraded to a phillips extra vision kit, and all it has done was change the light from yellow to white.

I have tried to find the adjustors, but they dont seem to have any, unless they are well hidden.

It is terrible at night, and i was considering upgrading to halo front lights to get some better vision?

Does anyone else have a problem or have any ideas?

Thanks

Willing to pay to upgrade to something better, as angel eyes will cost around $ 500.00 for a set.

Will look into the link, thanks

hey - i too have a EG with stock headlights , and YES they are piss poor.

I suggest investing in a HID kit to suit your car ( H4 , low/hi beam kit @ 4300k - 8000k max rating). And your vision will be increased quite abit. Just DO NOT adjust the lights too high as you will blind oncoming traffic with your glare.

my friend's EG with HID is ok, But you need to Adjust the beam once you installed the HID, because the luminant position of HID is different from normal bulb. so it will shoot higher if you don't adjust it.
And remember to get a HID Kit with relay loom, because when the HID startup, i draw a lot of power and it could set your OEM loom in fire if you don't have the relay kit to draw the power from the battery.

I am not sure if you guys are aware but the NZDM EG civics have glass lights rather than plastic like the JDM lights. They make for a better spread of light and don't fade.

I have NZDM glass lights in my eg with super white bulbs and have no trouble at all.

AUDM headlights are glass too.

Yeah, glass.

The trouble i am having seems to be a piece of metal over the main bulb in the headlight. I have never seen this on other cars before. I think this might differ the light to much in my case. But i think it is there so the light doesnt shine directly up?

Does anyone else have these in there headlights?

I think i will get a HID kit and see how things go.

thats normal - it deflects the light beam to the reflectors and that gives your light source. Get a HID kit and see how u go
