I didnt realise there was such a fan base for cheap chinese shit on this forum. Even STANDARD suspension can handle drifting. Why not spend the extra money and buy QUALITY!

I would rather spend an extra $400 and have the piece of mind that my suspension wont fail.

Teins are also prone to breaking just like all other suspension components.
If you could bother searching you would find just as many broken/leaking tein pics as other brands.

it really just depends on what purpose you use them for. if ur using it for normal driving purposes it shouldnt be a problem, but if ur going out and wrecklessly driving u might encounter them.

notice how that picture is a three prone coilover with adjustable camber. Which puts more stress on the coilover. And like stated once before not every product is perfect you will find a negative comment on almost every product available. But f#@k that is bad

By the looks of it maybe he tried to drift at full lock (where the wheel has max castor and max camber) on some ripple strips. SNAP!

I have a mate who bent a piston rod of a D2 coilover in a car accident.
It bent but didnt snap.
Consider that snap piston rod incident bad luck.

Plenty of people use d2/ksport/g4/ISC/Racing logic for trackwork etc.
They dont have problems.
I have mates who have had Cusco, Tein, HKS coilovers, JIC fail on them.
Shit happens.

This D2 dealer is NZ based.
Warranty will be a pain in the backside.
D2 give 1year warranty.
G4 give 2 year replacement warranty.

LOL - ok..you should say "Cheap MADE in China shit".

But on a serious note, Alot of items are now Made in China, but for those of you who don't know, there are 2 "Chinas" so to speak, Taiwan, and Mainland China.

Personally, I wouldn't touch parts made in Mainland China (and there are alot here), but Taiwan's manufacturing is now quite up to standards. Infact, alot of the Branded stuff, like skunk etc are all made in Taiwan. D2's I believe are manufactured in Taiwan.

As for D2s, while I believe that you get what you pay for, I still believe they are bang for your buck.

well its true that there are a whole heap of poorly made chinese products in the past. there still are heaps now, but that doesnt always mean that they all are. i guess its easy for everyone to generalise a bit based on past experiences.

that said, i think taiwanese products are pretty good value as you mentioned.
