Hey Guys

I didn't pass my Engineering Certificate just due to having an open pod filter…F++k

Passed the following.
Turbo
Brakes
Coilovers
Seats
RTA Emissions Test

Just not the dam filter lol

Apparently you can get enclosed ones but I’ve Googled them and didn’t find anything..

Anyone know/where I can get there ASAP?

Thanks Guys

luke , look at perhaps a OEM box that can house your
pod or similar. Try looking for a DC2 air box - it looks to be the best size for your application

BTW , since its to get engineered it doesn't have to look pretty - just functional for your engineer. You can take it off after :P

it sucks how enclosed pod filters will need engineering to pass as legal.

even if you have an enclosed pod filter without engineering it will still be seemed defective and if you are asked to get a vehicle inspection by the DECC (previously known as the EPA) they will fail you and you remained unfixed they will advise the RTA to cancel your registration.

at the moment there are only 2 authorised vehicle inspection stations in sydney.
One in granville and one in campbelltown.
They are cracking down hard.

And did you put it on just to pass, or your leaving it on?

Its a heat shield with a built-in air filter

I'll leave it on if I can find a real 3" to 2.25" filter adapter somewhere?
