hi all

my 40k service is due in mid december however i have only 25k on the clock, now the thing is over xmas i am driving down to mebourne and back to brisbane and will cover close to 5k kms.

now my service is due in December, but do you think its a good idea to get the service done in mid Jan when i come back after doing all those kms or do it before i go to melbourne?

also will this affect my warranty if i delay by 2-3 weeks, the 40k service?

lol, same here. it says im due for 20k service but ive only done 9k

It will not affect warranty. Its really up to you when to service ur car. But they give recommended guides so that your car will remain in a good condition.

wont affect your warranty.
i would recommend doing it before you go, they will do a low 40k service.
which means, they probably won't have to replace the air filter, fuel, and adjust tappets, stuff like that.

Do the service, just because you havent done that many Km's doesnt mean the fluids havent aged for that duration, meaning, your condition could be perfect with the oil / sussy / bla bla bla . but fluids like coolant / brake fluid need changing at certain intervals or they wont function as well, and espcially cause you will be doing a road trip, definatly get it
