Could someone please explain the variations in headlights?

I don't like the cheap DIY stuff from ebay. I like the nice ones you see on Euro luxuries, BMWs etc with the round looking bulb. How much to convert to one of these?

just matter of you getting 55w hid conversion or 35w hid conversion kit, all the stock hid using 4300k 55w HID, and most of the after market using 35w HID kit, and with a same k rating, 55w can produce more LM than a 35w!

you need to get - a projector headlight n a hid conversion kit

well i have never had a look at the FN2R's headlights before. but since ur asking im assuming they're using halogen bulbs. to change it to the nice projector headlights you see on cars that have xenon headlights as standard, ur gonna have to either wait for some aftermarket headlights designed for your car that have projectors built into them or DIY it yourself by like gettin the projectors off a Accord Euro or something and trying your best not to fk up ur own headlights

your talking about angel eyes (round looking bulbs) they are around $300-400 for a pair. Note that they are illegal, and you could get pulled over for it.

But then so are HIDs ;) but its harder for them to tell cos you can hide your ballasters

Heres a colour chart to help you choose.

not to stereotype here, but generally the cheap ebay chinese HIDs are not waterproof and thats not very safe... HIDs when they start up have VERY VERY high voltages in the thousands, what happens when your ballast is wet and you decide to turn the lights on?

go for the Japanese or Euro made ones mate, a lot better quality...

again you get what you pay for ;)

but just remember HID lights are illegal no matter how bright, because the stock headlight isn't designed for it and there is no high intensity headlight washers on cars that don't come with HIDs
