Hello everyone
My car 2007 euro, near 10000km, but someone said:First 10000 service syn oil not recommended.

I just bought motul 8100 x-cess last week :(

That's good oil. You can use it for the 10000km service. I did.

The 'non-synthetic oil till engine run in' argument is quite controversial and has been argued ad nauseum. But at 10k you should be alright.

It's fine at 10,000km.

Castrol Edge 5w-30. Retail price is $45-50, but it's on sale quite often. Now I use Motul 8100 5w-40 and Edge 0w-40.

Same oils as above.Any good full synthetic 5W30,5W40 grade.I was told by my dealer it'd be a good idea to use 5W40 for summer and change to 5W30 for cooler months.I use Elf 5W30 $55 from autobarn.

I've been to Honda dealers and when you walk to front desk at service they have there oils on display, Honda oil and 2-3 shelves of other manufacturers oils too........

Don't see why they would reject other oils, unless it's a low quality oil then they would be doing us a favour by rejecting it.

yup... something around there, first time I got it at full price, cause no sale during the 1 month period I was looking to get the oil. I got 1 bottle from Kmart with 10-15% off last month, cant remember the actual discount.
