Both should work without any major dramas.
I had +43 16 x 7 with 195/45/16 tyres and there were absolutely no probs with clearance anywhere (full lock, guards, etc).
Running a 205 width tyre on the +45 you might get a bit of rubbinng on full lock but should be too dramatic.
I'd prob go the +40 though...+45 might sit just that little bit too far in.
You ccan go up to a +35 with minimal fuss.
Generally your biggest issue with wheels for the Jazz is clearing the front brake caliper. It's not an offset issue, more a design thing that you might need to overcome.
Don't know how the slips go though on that front.
+40 will work, but as jayesse said it depends on the style of rim.

You ask us for a specific answer, but yet you give us insufficient details. Is your car lowered? how low? simple answer, as above both ok but will rub depends on the tyres.

im not too fust about tyre rubbing issuse as it will run 195/50/16 or 205/45 something around there depending on the prices i can get the tyres for. My main concern is the rim hitting the caliper.
Looks like +40 may be the go, has anyone had slipstreams on their jazz's in 16x7 +40 offset.
thanks for your answers guys too.

if you want to be safe, go +45.
on the question of offsets, anyway i can fit 15x7.0 +27 offset on a lowered jazz?
can i flare the guards to make it fit?
also, how do i go about adjusting the camber to make it fit (if that is an option)?

thinking of buying the tomato rims?. I had the same exact rims on my jazz. Yes they do rub so bad, even with the fenders rolled, and the small size tyres, 185/55/15.

Mate those tyres are the wrong size for the Jazz.
You will want either:
195/45/16 - a bit of an odd size so not a huge variety but I git them for about $130 each
205/40/16 - a bit more common, so will be a bit cheaper than the 195s.
I had the 195/45/16s cause they offer almost identical rolling diameter to factory and it gave that little bit extra clearance all round for turning, guards, etc.
+40 with 195s should go close to fitting with no rubbing issues as all even if you're lowred!

IIRC +45 will hit the brakes. definitely with 16x7
wont look phat.
go +35 to +40
+35 will most likely rub the lip or plastic lining but give you wider track.
lip guards is not a problem but after a few months the plastic lining will be worn to shreads LOL.
for a JAZZ run 205/45/16 is fine.

cool, so it looks like 195/45 or 205/45 will be the go, i dont want to run lower profile and +40 will also be the go.
All this without needing to run spacers?
thanks for ya help people.

I'm have some issues with my Buddyclub QF's 15x7 +35 with 195/50/15 and stock suspension.
When I have passengers in the back, my tyres would some time rub if I go over humps a bit quick.

I've got 16 x 7 k speed alloys 40 offset, 195/40 tyres. No problems, no spacers. But my car isn't lowered. I could see no rubbing isssues if lowered though.

Not true at all!....Offset is not always the issue with brake clearance as discussed many times
I had a set of BuddyClub P1 in 16 x 7 with +35 offset and the didn't fit.
+45 will fit providing the design is right, but you're right, it will tuck in a lot and won't fill the guards out too well.
+35 is too much hassle IMO if you want to lower the car. Too much rubbing!
And yes a 205/45/16 will fit fine, but it isn't exactly right when there are other sizes that are more accurate.
My 195/55/15s off my EK fit on the Jazz but it doesn't mean it's the right size!

i was wondering if 15 x 7 P1 (offset of 45) will fit on a stock standard jazz?

I thought it has been covered before, as far as I know, there are people hit a wall on that. the spoke design doesnt clear the brakes and you need spacer
get the +35, sits nicer anyway

Has anyone tried putting civic FD 16"s rims on a jazz. Im looking to put them on a jazz with 205/45 tyres. Will this fit? Not sure what the offset for Civic FD 16"s are???

FD has a stud pattern of 5x114.3 while jazz is 4x100 so it won't fit.

I had a 16 x 7 +38 offset when I had my Jazz... had problem scrubbing when I had full load in the car... Scrubbing issues only for the back tho... But +35 offset will make the car look tough :)

Will 215/40/17 tyres fit on 17x7 rims for the jazz? I have my guards rolled already.

how much lower was your car with the 16x7 +38 offset? and what size tyres did u run?
im looking to purchase wheels in similar specs, and need to know if i will have any issues with it.

+42 would be perfect for 16inch rims.

tyres are wrong profile, you want 205/40 & depends upon the offset of the rim.
