To avoid any future problems just get it replaced either new or with a second hand tyre, u dont need to get 4 new ones..

Get a 2nd hand tyre or a new tyre as a replacement. Put the replacement tyre in the rear if your car is FWD.

Isnt there a repair kit for these type of things?
But not worth the trouble / insecurity.

poor guy, before doing that make sure it has actually penetrated.
Yes nails and screws can come in various sizes :O
Just make sure you're ready to change over to the spare if your gonna do this in case it has penetrated and it runs flat. (looks like it has in the pic though bad luck :p)

it is fixable. you need to patch it instead of plug it.. its because its too close to the sidewall of the tyre.. cost about 30bux.

you dont need to buy 4 new tyres. just buy the one you put a hole in..

i remember my old boss had a mazda tribute.

and he ran over a nail...

he was like, i gotta pull it out.

my manager was like, wtf you doing??!! leave it in...

my boss pulls it out and his trye went flat...

so they had to use the spare... lots of messing around...

take it to a tyre place they will fix it for like 40 bucks.....

dont keep driving on it i did with about the same size bolt and it drove that far in it cracked my rim and had to buy a new rim..

was not happy... the only time you need a new tyre/2nd hand tyre is if the nail/screw or what ever goes through the side wall of the tyre...
that is fixable i would pay the 40 bucks

its wierd how you guys say its fixable when 2 pros that work at those tyre places tell me its not fixable. Both different shops btw..

hmm now i get a feeling they were lazy and didnt wanna fix it.. but why would dey be lazy?? dey get money for it.... gahh

It's a liability to fix it for you if it is too close to the sidewall. If they fix it and you experience a blow out and get into an accident, they are liable for fixing your tyre rather than getting you to replace it.

but his hole looks like they gotta take the tyre out and do it frm the inside of the tyre with patch and glue cost abt 25$

I think it depends on the size of the hole. In this case the bolt looks pretty big. I think i read somewhere or someone (probably some guy who sold me tyres) told me you can only repair a puncture if its less than 6 mm in diameter.
I found most places don't want to do a repair because i guess to do it properly they have to take off the tyre, fix up the puncture, refit the tyre then rebalance it which is quite time consuming for which they only charge 15-20$.
I usually fix punctures myself with the plug thing, but in this case i would keep looking around for someone to repair it properly. Worst case get a new tyre.
