No.
....the only problem....lies in the recorded db output of the actual muffler - since takign out your resonator decreases "muffling" your sound will be louder , and thus , illegal.
Apart from a more farty noise - is there anypoint to removing it ?
Do so at your own risk

basically im restricted from changing the exhaust
and i have a magnflow on the way which will not be
loud enuf on its on with the stock setup... the farty
noise is a concern but would it be that bad with the magnaflow????

I have a magnaflow myself lad...just a stocky-looking 2.25 straight thru muffler- a VERY nice rumble indeed :)
But , i am running just a 2.25 cat-back system , WITH a resonator - so i can only imagine the "rumble beef" will only be alittle louder.
IF you are going to remove the resonator - the custom work involved might as well warrant a cat-back system then....

man the magnaflows are pretty loud little mufflers if you have the N1 stle cannister..
the centre resonators are straight-try hot-dog styles and shouldnt create any power loss..
IMO if you remove the resonator you'll be too loud.. will give you a headache in 5 mins of driving.. does your magnaflow come with silencer ?

idealy the straight thru 2 1/4 with the magna would b perfect but insurance
policy restricts me from doing so :(

insurance restricts THAT ?? I dont think so !! you have a dodgy insurance company if they do !!
there is NOTHING illegal about a cat-back exhaust except sound levels.. if you can keep the sound output under a certain point, there is NO problem.
especially 2.25" is nothing too radical.. i'd say you'd still need at least one resonator tho..
2.25" with resonator and your Magna and you will be perfect i'd say..

you are also required to have a permit for a header + cat back system.
It is a yellow sticker cabable offence.

restricting it because it considers it as a modification... i no cat-bak is
not illegal

dont get rid of your resonator, mine was stuffed and i needed a replacement, the guy let me try straight pipe to see how it went. Sounded barky and as loud as hell (well i have a cannon at the tail so it was basically like straight through 2.25").

i would try and put a resonator if you can.
to my knowledge, the lack of resonator gives it that "jar of bees" noise (can someone confirm)...
which imo just sounds like shit.

Everything is legal until you get caught...
If it sound too loud when the resonator is gone...
It probably is...
That is, perhaps the resonator is there for a reason other than performance...
