Precision Injectors

Hi guys
Just a question i've ordered some precision 440cc injectors that are high impedence for my b16a2.

Now someone said to me some of the injectors have issues and might flood?? Can anyone shed some light on this?

Also who else is running precision injectors and what are your thoughts on them?

Nothing wrong with them. All injector brands have been known to go bad from time to time. Its just luck of the draw. Thats why warrenty is good. As well as good eye for diagnosing such issues.

cool cos i they just came in with some new clips all i'm waiting on now is ECU.

I am using 300cc injectors for a turbo EG5. It is running about 130kW at the wheel with 12psi.. I haven't find any problem with those injectors, they still sufficent to supply fuel to the engine. However, don't forget the fuel bump. If you think that your engine will likely running to the edge of the factory fuel supply capacity. I would suggest to upgrade the fuel pump as well.

If you worry about the injectors that you got, always possible to do a flow test on them... it leaves you a peace of mind. I did it for mine, but they were used injectors though.

I wouldn't mark around with the fuel system. It is the heart of the engine.. you wouldn't want the engine pinging at 8000rpm due to leak of fuel supply. It could hurt the engine very badly.

yeah got a new walbro fuel pump and injectors are new

440cc is a lil small for a turbo b16 !! i would have gone for 550cc or 650cc. you can never have to much fuel

What does it matter that its a turbo b16...
and im pretty sure 650cc is deffinatley overkill

Not really i've seen 1000cc injectors on WRX.
Just depends on how much fuel you want and whether you wanna max out the injectors or have them run at lower duty cycle.
If you run injectors at lower duty cycles it makes them work less hard so they are generally more reliable.
It certainly allows for future crazy mods

For my application i'm not running over 9PSI so 440cc is plenty
