hi everyone wat is the difference between da8 and da9???? they both come out with b16a's wright???

da6 and da8 both come with B16a. da6 is a two door da8 is a four door. Da9 is the oz spec with a b18a non-vtec

unless they're out of the ultra rare 93model xsi which is 125kw as opposed to 118kw

depends what crx/civic.
The engine can only fit into the car it came out of , OR a older car.

well it would go into a gen2 crx... my mate had a gen2 with a integra ls b16a in it...

i think this is a myth.. i see people saying it all the time but ive changed my engines twice and twice it wasnt checked at rego time. Actually i dont even know what year models my engines are..

not a myth - the obvious reason is that the newer the engine the more strict (and altered) emissions controls there are. IE OBD1 vs OBD2a/b etc.
So , to be more exact you cannot put an OBD0 engine w/emissions into a OBD1 or OBD2 chassis.
There are ways around it , by swapping the entire wiring etc of different engines...dont know if this is legal tho.
Please can someone clarify this...

anyway as mentioned earlier , there is no difference between the DA8 and DA9 B16a. Both are OBD0 and run exactly the same. The difference is the chassis from 3dr to 5dr
