im just curious to know if fitting a lightened pulley kit (ie the one that GFB sells) is worth it? what kinda gains does it give if any?

would it be better to just go with a lightened flywheel?

well if you get the GFB pilley kit, can I buy your OEM pulley cause mine's screwed.. hahaha

Flywheel will make much more difference.. but pulley's DO help a little.. but like someone said, you'd feel more difference by kicking the passenger out hahahaa.

The GFB pulleys are very expensive.. look to the AEM pulley kit for about $150 USD including replacement auxillary belts..

Does the stock crank pulley play a significant role in reducing harmonic vibrations like that found in V engines?

yes i wouldnt run a pully kit. u can get more power out of simple mods, and a heep more outa ur flywheel.. the pulleys weigh a bit for a reason.

Listen to Denchy...
Don't do it...
Your main bearings will fail - crankshaft
Your oil pump will also fail - (Then the engine is in the bin)
Use a fluid damper...
Email me if you're after one...

By all means use lightweight pulleys elsewhere...
Under drive them too...
But don't replace the harmonic balancer with a piece of aluminium...
The gain in response is not worth the greif.
