How much would it cost?
apparently i need them considering i have 18's on my ej8
which is "dramatically" oversized compared to the factory 14's
going on what mechanic told me.
or else cops could really give me a hard time..

thankyou:)

It aint to bad, unless they chromies which will atrract alot of attention.. but if you looking to get stuff engineered.. you will be looking at about 400+ ..

18's won't be legit at all.

An engineering certificate (not sticker) simply states that a particular modification made to your vehicle complies with the relevant Australian Design Rules (ADRs).

Largest legal you can get is 16's with 40 profile (i believe) - with your stock size of 14'.
There's no 35 profile tyres to go on a 17" rim, so 16's the largest legal size change.

HOWEVER - It may depend on the stock TYRE combination that goes with your 14" rim.

Read up on the sticky "NSW Modification Guidelines"

Costs of Engineering Certificates vary, depending on the type of work being assessed.
It is better value to have it all certified in one go, rather than having them reissued.

oh man.
well if i were to buy a set of 16's
would that decrease my ride height? (which is unwanted)
if so. is it possible to get thicker tyres on the 16's so it would be the same ride height as it was on the 18's?
(eg. currently on 215/35 maybe ###/50)
