how to use the search function

I'm trying to use the search function so I dont have to put up a new post asking how to remove the dash from a dc2.
could someone please educate me?

hahahaha, i feel like such an idiot, i didn't know that clicking on advance search actually gives me more options, i had pages and pages before :(
