Hi guys i know that generally most of us use the 10w30 or something close for your normal setup, but what are people using for their boosted honda's?
Also are you guys running an oil cooler as well?
How's the oil holding up? does it burn?
What are your suggestions on viscosity & brands?
ive been using the normal honda feo oil and motul full syn since i boosted it last yr. no probs with either. now i only run the motul cos it works out cheaper cos i buy in bulk.
no probs with either on overheating or eating oil, no oil cooler either. but it does feel sluggish on hot summer days

I use Royal Purple 10W40.
A good 40 way synthetic is the general choice for normal use.
Also got a Trust 10 row Oil cooler.
I just need to top my oil up every so often.

Castrol Gold Synthetic or Royal Purple, 10-40w. Dont use motul turbolight or MAGNATEC lol..

hey Limo i'm assuming your using a 30w of sorts?
I've been running the Castrol R 5w30, but i might move to the 0w40 Castrol R
I'm getting a bigger radiator also so hopefully that will reduce the oil burning, along with the oil cooler

Do you have a low temp thermostat and fan switch? This is should be the first things you get. I ran a stock rad and no oil cooler and never had problems with burning oil and my motor is very very old.
Changing from 30 to 40 wont hurt.

my mate buys a big drum of oil and a group of us shares it. it works out to be ~$12 p/lt
oil im using is the 10-30.
how much oil are your engines burning? shouldnt you go a thicker oil if its burning heaps of oil?im running a twin core half size with themo fan, no oil burning.

cool.
I'm running 5w30 castrol R, not burning oil, but wasn't sure if i should go higher if i turbo'ed the car.
I am getting the bigger core half-radiator, with oil cooler.
If you guys are still running the same oil with no issues then i will most likely keep using the same stuff.

mobil 1 10w40 and useing oil cooler
I ran castrol R on my stock turbo motor. worked a treat. Never had issues and my engine was clean as a whistle when i finally tore it down. Bearings looks great. its not true synthetic though.
If u have like to track, id run a slightly heavier wait. w40. But i think hondas need a thin oil. I dont like the idea of using a 50 weight.
