Hey Just wondering if anyone can help me... and yes I have searched couldn't find anything on this one.

Just bought a OEM EK9 Handbrake console and am having difficulties fitting it in. I have a EK4 and it doesn't have the same bracket as what it seem's the Ek9 has.

Here are some pics.

This is the EK4(Closest) and EK9(far) Handbrake console's

EK4(left) and EK9(right) Handbrake console's

This is the mount that suits the EK4 Handbrake Console

As you can see the clips are different, oh and the mount is undone.
I know I can just cut the Bracket, then put it back on but the EK9 Handbrake cover is loose at the back and moves arround.

Can anyone help?? A Pic of a EK9 handbrake Mount would help heaps.

Anyone with a EK9 able to help???

Just need a picture of the mount. Which all you'll need to do is take the handbrake console off and take the photo of the floor area where the mount is.

Please someone?

Sweet thanks mate. Helping heaps, Now just have to source one. Looks like a DC2R is the same bracket. interesting.

So will try and get a DC2R or EK9.

Thanks heaps
Still would like a Pic of EK9 Bracket like above would help to compare if they are the same.

Just modify the brake cover. Much easier and it still fits fine.

Yeah to modify plastic isn't as easy as 1-2-3. As stated above look at pics above. the curve is completely different between the two. Cutting the old ones and to glue them to the other would be shit idea as it would never hold as well as they would originally.

Bad idea.

bumping up an old thread
did anyone work out how to get it to fit?

the little hold down tabs on the ek9 cover seem to hit the stock ek4 bracket

the way i see it i either cut the handbrake cover's tabs to make it sit flat(irreversible) or i cut the stock ek4 bracket(possible reversible)
what does everyone else do?

or maybe i can bend it out of the way?

i bent the tabs at the back to lock the rear and it works fine. I have it in my car if you wanna see vinny

interesting, will have to take you up on that offer
at the moment i've just bent the existing tabs forwards facing the front of the car
but now the rear hangs loose because of it
