Hey guys, i drive a jdm dc2r. I have a slight problem with the car at the moment. When i drive and hit lil road bumps my steering is unstable, its a kind of wobbly feeling. Ive taken it to my mechanic and he said it was the intermediate bearing/shaft, i have gotten that changed and the problem has not been resolved. Has any else experienced what i have? Could it be i need a wheel alignment?

Any idea i would appreciate

Thanks

if u feel the wobbliness while traveling on high speed... u might need a high speed rotation on ur wheels or do an alignment to see if the problem goes away.

Probably bump steer. Do you know if the previous owner increased the front castor?

try an alignment if not i think you may have damaged your rack. Also check if any bushes have been broken? That usually only happens with Polyurothane bushes though

My EK4 tends to 'track' over imperfections in the road surface. I put it down to having wider wheels?

I'd look into checking your tread wear pattern and getting a wheel alignment, as well as a rotate and balance if required, for starters anyway.

Might be worth explaining your issues upon taking it to the wheel aligner. As i've seen, on too many occasions, wheel aligners just adjusting the front toe and leaving it at that. A FULL alignment should be carried out.

i get the same problem.. im not to fussed i really dont think it is a major problem and i tend to think it might have something to do with wider wheels aswell!
