Hi I'm in desperate need of advice while lowering my better halfs DC5 today the front passenger drive shaft has popped out and I can't get it back in, is there a trick to it or do I have to remove the boot and physically line it up to get it in.
I've got a couple of front drive AE82 corolla's and when this has happened to me in the past I've just pushed it back in, is this normal on the DC5?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had mine out just last week. You should be able to turn it and feel it line up. Then it just needs a little gentle persuasion and it's back in.

has it popped out of the gearbox? i usually tap the end of the driveshaft with a rubber mallet to get it back in if its tough, make sure the driveshaft is straight when u hit it though as u could dislocate the cv joints.

They're especially hard those ones to get back in not sure why.just pull the whole hub and drive shaft out together and try and stand it on the ground and jerk it in.thats the best way but try and feel if all the balls are in the correct spots as well there's three of them.if worst come to worse pull off the boot or pm me.
