make sure theres no water where ur spark plugs go, that can cause ur car to run like its choking.

Take it to your local dyno shop & have it run up.
This plus a couple of snap shots should help determine what the problem is.
It could be any number of things, but if you see what it's actually doing it's usually a lot easier to figure out what the problem is.

ive got an oil pressure gauge on a sandwich plat,i just move the presure gauge onto the head and its giving a very low ready .5bar on my gauge and does not go up when i rev it.

thats your problem there. No oil pressure to the head gives you poor vtec engagement (weak). Vtec needs good oil pressure to work.

Maybe you have a blockage somewhere.

Depending where you've taken the oil pickup off the head, this can be normal.
If you've selected post Vtec pressure, it'll do just that until the solenoid trips.
So you can rev it on the spot to say 4~5K rpm & very little will happen.
Take it for a drive & see what happens when Vtec is activated. Pressure should come up.
If it stays low, remove the Vtec solinoid & clear the screen filter.
(Assuming Vtec trigger wire is connected & servicable & oil level is correct)

i put the pressure gauge on the front of the head where there is a 10mm bolt would that be the same??

There your problem. Oil pressure.

OIl pressure should go up with you rev up. Hit up the honda manual and look up the specs @ 3.5k rpm or so.

The 10mm bolt in the front of the head is post Vtec solinoid oil pressure.
As I said before, you'll need to come onto Vtec before you will be able to read any real pressure as this is the oil gallery after the Vtec solinoid.
This gallery is for Vtec activation pressure only, lubrication is via another gallery.

Check the pressure when Vtec triggers.
If there is a problem, check the Vtec filter screen in the solinoid.
If vtec oil pressure is similar/same to that on the sandwitch block, the problem is something else.
