4th gen preludes

hey guys, ive always had a few questions abt the 4th gen preludes in my head, and i was hopin, maybe u guys could gimme the answers ?

for the 92 si preludes, in the interior, they have the centre console box in the middle of the backseats .
but for the 93 - 96 vtir's jap spec and aus spec, do they have it in the back like the 92 si's as well ? coz ive heard some ppl say yes they do and other say no they dont

i think it was the 94+ that had the mini-center console and a center pad.... I own a 93 and it has the long console.... its a bit of a pain but i spose if you got bored you could always do a conversion..... There is a writeup on PreludeAustralia if your looking at changing consoles.

haha i wanted to have the long centre console coz it gives the prelude more of a character, its more unique haha . so i guess if i wanted a vtec prelude, id have to get a 93 vtir ??

The VTI-R ludes are from 94 onwards, and yes they do have the mini centre console and centre pad, which imo I think looks better anyway as they're black vinyl as opposed to the grey carpet-like material. If you're really that hung up on the long centre console you'll have to settle for a 93 Si.

Personally I prefer VTEC...but thats just me

If you get the VTiR and want the long console, i have it with the hand brake aswell as i have done the conversion to mini console.

ive seen one 93' JDM VTiR manual, for sale and it was perfect but as soon as i called up the guy he sold it already . im really keen on gettin a 93' jdm vtir now !

ok.. to clear this things up.. the 92 has long centre console as well..

if you can find a JDM or jap-spec, even 92 will have vtec engine (h22a) on it..

but all AUDM only have the vtec engine from 94 onwards (and no centre console) :)

ohhhh ok, ive always thought that japspec vtir's started off from 93 and the audm vtir started off from 94 . but yeah, thanks hans bonds

Like i was saying earlier, i own a 93 Prelude S with the long center console and i did a VTIR conversion so its the best of both worlds......... Also i love the fact that it doesnt have 4WS...... :D

i agree...i don't like 4WS..makes the car really unpredictable during wet weather..esp when yu turn a little too fast..haha..

I have a jap spec 92 vtir and it has the centre console, it wouldnt feel like a prelude without it, lol
