i have a p28 (came from a d16y1) ecu at home but it is auto and i am currently running a p06 manual ecu for my d15b7 with a mini swap.
is there any way i can mix and match the chips that defines the ecu from being vtec/non vtec and auto/manual to acheive my goals?. i was wondering if there was maybe a chip that can be swapped from the p06 to the p28 to make it manual. or if not , is there a vtec chip that i can swap into the p06 so that i can wire vtec up to make it engage. i do kno that there is an option of jus buying a manual p28 for simplicity sake or get my p06 chipped for the vtec to work. but having a p28(auto) lying around, i might as well shoot some questions other than letting it go to waste.
sorry for being sucha bugger and posting so much :o

You might be able to use a piggy back ECU to run it, but as far as swapping bits and pieces from one ECU to another i would highly suggest not to, once you open up those things it gets pretty complicated.

You can add vtec to your p06 or convert the p28 to manual, just PM ECU-MAN.
