Hi guys. I've seen s few style of dump pips on the t28 type systems.
One is a large mouth piece covering the exhaust side to one pipe.
The other is One large pipe and a smaller pipe joining later on.
Then the last is a screamer pipe where the smaller pipe vents air.

Can you guys tell me what is the benefit of splitting the pipes or keeping them as one?

screamer pipes r ilegal when vented to the air isnt it?
its possible its for better flow to get the gasses out more efficiently.

Yea, screamers are illegal.
And i think the other two are just about airflow.

Im not sure which is best.

yes very true.

just get the one piece dump if your not going to run a external wastegate.

You're talking about internal wastegate? Im not 100% sure but its something to do with turbulence. So when the wastegate opens to regulate the boost it doesnt effect the flow.

None of mine are :) boost legal is best IMO

yeah i seen them all put in, but found out from teh exhaust shop today that the screamer pipe and the dual scroll style are to reduce turbulance of exhaust.

I'm prob gonna get the dual scroll with the screamer pipe. (Stock & ricer you guys are a bad influence on me).

P.S i have all bits now just waiting to get time to have it all put in yeah!
Was gonna buy my own braided lines but Haks convinced me to get speedflow lines

the split thaqt feeds back to exhaust isnt a bad setup, only slows the flow of exhaust, as the smaller pipe3 isd from internal wastegate and it interupts the flow from turbo.......i would run the split with screamer, that way it will hold boost a lot better and sound tuff, and wont disturb the exhaust flow.........
