you'll need to cut into your front bumper, then re-wire it to your dash.. if you are a bit hesitant to do it yourself, get an autoelectrician to do it, or any workshop

there should be a brown wire where the driver side headlight which goes into the car
another one where the fuzz box where the driver for the switch and then another two plugz in the fuse and done

as easy as that

Ditto what tripitaka says. You'll need to cut into the bumper and then wire it through. If you know what you're doing with wiring (like Boban The Lifesaver ;)), it's straightforward. If not it could do your head in a bit.

Most tedious part of the installation we found was cutting into the bumper. The handa accessories site has the instructions on where to cut etc. We used a boxcutter and a craft knife and hacked away for the good part of an hour.. crude and slow, but did the job.

Here's the result:

Good luck! :)

ps. Boban: lol guess what mate.. cracked the glass on both foggies during one of my offroad adventures. The left one's since broken (still turns on though!), so it looks like I'll be doing the installation again soon! Lucky I'm skipping the wiring and cutting bit though! ;)

Not really, I can't see how they'd mount because the lights don't protrude out- also in Brissie most people tend to drive with foglights as supplementary headlights all of the time. So covers would get a bit fiddly. I also discovered the foggies get really hot- I don't want to accidentally flick them on and start a fire lol..

And ironically- the day I smashed them, I actually did need them on.. I think I just have to be a bit careful offroad. Civic WRC ftw! :S

US ebay.
Answered your own question ;) To be specific, zomkspeed is the seller. Do a search for 00 Civic fog smoke or 00 Civic fog clear or 00 Civic fog yellow

mm was thinking if I put metal mesh on the front of the glass, it might stop the impact of stray stones, but to some extent it keeps heat on the glass and prevents light transmission so yeah.. also thought of having some kind of film painted over it, but then again, heat problems- the uneven expansion might shatter it anyway.. current solution is probably buying a few pairs and keeping them as spares. They don't cost much, but postage is a bit- trying to find out if I can combine postage..

[end loud thinking..] :)
