87xxxkm is young! Wait til you hit 200xxxkm. Then you can say that your car is old.

Just stick to 10w-30 if you have no problems now.

Being an EJ8, it can't be that old anyway.

I hope you have gone back to a 10w-30 oil. 10w-50 is too viscous. Well, I've used even 10w-40 on a new engine and it's fine. If you feel that you want something more viscous, then you can use that.

synth S very good oil for the buck, stay in grade quality pretty good and mobil 1 not that much better for a lot more $.

try 5w30 as well and see if you like it, a quality full syn 5w30 like castrol edge has fair bit less drag on engine than the run of the mill 10w30 ( ie FEO, valvoline and Penzoil 10w30 ) and a lot slippery as well. The castrol often on special at supercheap at bargain prices ie $30, sometimes $40 but normally $48. Valvoline Durablend 5w30 semi syn very good as well.

yeah im leaning abit towards to mobil synth s..was just tryna do abit of research on it.
I work at supercheap so i get a fair bit of discount on the edge stuff as well as mobil. i think i'll give the mobil a try first.

thanks guys!
