Where to mount a tacho

I have a monster tacho im going to stick in my EG but i dont know where to put it, i was told you cant put it on the dash because its illegal just wondering where other people mount theirs to get a idea.

Yep thats what i was after lol, not sure your allowed to mount them on the bonnet tho i was thinking of putting in on the pillar like the guy did in that post but i didnt think you where allowed to.

i have an eg civic and the best lookin place 2 mount is on da pillar driver side. i noe its illegal but other areas look shit.

and any1 know if mounting the little small gauge like autosalon cars on da bonnet illegal?

Yes, mounting in on the bonnet IS illegal.

As is mounting it on the A-Pillar.

Doesn't an EG have a tacho?

Nope the eg doesnt have a tacho i was thinking above that middle air con vent but it might be to much trouble drilling a hole in there since all the stuff behind it.

that means its a breeze or gl and it doesnt need one... lol hence why it didnt come with one from the factory.

Why can't you get a tacho equipped cluster from a si/vti/gli and retrofit?

my mate mounted his on the dash using custom made pillars just infront of the air con vent looks nice
