Another Noob Question - Civic G/box

HI people,
I tried a quick search but didnt come up with anything after a little while so I thought i would just post..
Im considering swapping a gearbox from an 85 civic carby into an 89 injected civic - firstly is this possible? Im guessing they are the same/similar boxes?
If so has anyone done it - is it a real bitch of a job? Im thinking about doing it myself with a hand from a mate maybe.

I don't know if it will fit, but it should take you and your mate about 4 hours to do, with the right tools and know how

but in my opinion i highly doubt it will fit...and if it does it wont last for long :eek::(
