hey guys, i'm plannin to get a SI 4th gen prelude . but i was thinking SI probably wouldnt be enough for me, vtir prelude, i just dont like the 94 prelude interior ( the backseats ) simply because the 92 preludes, their backseats have the centre glove box in the middle of the backseat and it gives the prelude that unique character . and as u can see, i like being unique/different so i was thinking, what if i got an SI, and change the H23 head to a H22 vtec head keeping the H23 block ( i've been told this kinda project was called a frankenstein conversion ) ? so far i like that idea but i want to know how much id have to spend roughly to do this and has anyone done it here ?

mate ud be better off just doin the engine conversion to the h22a it has more power and wont cost as much ud be lookin 2-4 for the engine and watever to get sum1 to put it all in, yes it has been done for the frankinstien to work it will be costly i was goin 2 do it but the amount of work needed was massive.. im just goin with the jdm h22a

upgrade to the h22 you will love it... sometimes its easier to replace what you have rather than piece together parts in hope to make it work, go with what is proven the h22

The H23a has an awful 1.49 rod/stroke ratio making it less than ideal to use with a high revving VTEC head

well... why dont you get the VTiR and put the centre console in the rear?? that seems like the easiest thing to do for me

then you also get the better indiglo dash etc from the vtir...
