Sealed vs Ported 10" sub box - Dance Music

From people's experience what has sounded better for hard dance, electro, hardstyle, hard trance?

a vented box will give you a lower frequency range but less responsive.

Vented = deeper bass slow beats
sealed = punchy faster beats

usually you tend to use Vented Boxs with larger Subs 12 and up as those subs are the ones that can usually go lower. Subs 12 and under usually go a sealed. hence why a 12inch sub is alwayes such a popular choice as it will suit a wide range of things

^^ tru vented box are mainly for ground pounding bass like spl not sql.
so if u want sq than go for sealed.

sealed enclosure gives u a tighter response which are needed for those type of music... and try to match the smallest volume requirement for your sub, based on my experience this will give a much faster low freq responses..

whether a sub is best suited to a sealed or vented enclosure will be dependent on the specific sub's T/S specs

Tru but most subs have specs for both sealed and vented boxs... Sealed givieng a more responsive "punchy" sound... vented being able to hit a lower frequency and more suited to slower beats... might be a bit laggy with fast stuff

a properly designed ported enclosure will not be "laggy"

go for sealed, as all has said above.

vented still can respond good to hard bass or quick bass tones.
it just depends if you get the box tuned.
try not to go for a circle opened port.
its kinda.. crappy lol. not realli wat id call a port .. just a ..hole lol -.-"

but without going into hassles just go for sealed, to its specified requirements.
