hi, is it true having like a 22mm front swaybar and a 22mm rear swaybar making it inbalanced. whereas the ek9 stock has a 26mm front and a 22mm rear, and ek4 has 26mm front and 18mm rear. hence since the front isnt bigger than the rear making it unbalanced???

no the size of the bar affects the amount of roll resistance that axle/pair of wheels has. by having a higher restance at the rear the car is more prone to oversteer more at the front understeer. cars for everyday consumers are set up to favour understeer as it is more controlable and therefore safer. the ek9 is not a car for the everyday consumer and has a greater roll resistance at the rear for it has a greater over balance for a more athletic driver. my old civic had 22mm rear and 24 mm front and it was very tail happy :)

The size of the swarbay at different either front or back affect the way the car handles. Generally all things constant a larger front promotes understeer and a larger back promotes oversteer. There are more factors but that's the basics of the front and rear.

when did the ek4 get an 18mm rear sway?

it will also dpend on driving style and spring rates.

ps I suggested to look on the last page of that thread, as everyone added to it, with specs of the swaybars, thicknesses, etc

werid, just went out and measured it. Its more like 16mm, but then i just used a ruler, so prob is 14mm.

I think your right blitz. Stock did not come out in 18mm solid rear.

I rem now, its the normal whiteline upgrade is the 18mm rear sway.

FYI

EM1/EK4/DC2/DC4/EG5/EG6 = all 14mm rear swaybar.
