jdm_kid RS stands for Racing Spec, as just about all coilovers have an RS system i.e Trust, D2, Tein ect.

The kid is talking about the brand Daiyama, at this point i'll ad that i have never herd of Daiyama coilovers, and i have never herd anything wrong with D2 as they are fairly cheap work well on a lot of Toyota's Drift and track.

mate has D2s, never had a problem. If you say they are crap, tell us WHY they are crap and whether this was experienced by yourself... or else your comment is entirely useless and a waste of server space.

He is really just saying he has never herd of D2, I'm sure you have come across a product you have never herd of and instantly thought that it was Crap for the simple reason you have never herd of them, we have all done it;)

Just did some reading on D2, they seem as good as any other similar priced brand on the market, and they will definitely be a huge improvement on standard shox, so if you can get them for the right price go for it:)

lol most ppl have heard of d2, everyone thinks dere crap cause of that s13 drift pics, where he snapped it.
i mean honestly everyone cant just get there info from what they see
gotta use, experiment etc.
and these so called clicking noises , i havent experienced them myself, but alof of the time, ppl who experience it, usually install it themselves, or a non reputable installer.
meh my 2 cents.

d2 coilovers are better than tein SS....i had both these coilovers on my dc2. the teins were awful imo. they didnt offer much in terms of ride height adjustments as oppose to the d2. The ride on the d2's were comfy for street. On the track i found them abit soft though. But thats why you would pay the extra dollars for something like cusco zero 2 or tein mono flex for track applications. For street use the d2's are more than sufficient.

good post, definately agree, the d2s have a 10 cm drop lol
and adjustable soft / hard, good coils for ppl who dont wanna spend more than 1 g.

From my experience the D2's are excellent on a DA9 Chassis.

I had no complaints on D2s as well. Its harsher than High Quality (By high quality, I mean like almost 2 1/2 times the price) japanese shocks with higher spring rates, but bang for buck - D2s.

not these discussions again.
you cant compare a rolls royce to a honda civic.
for what they are d2 are definitely back for buck.
i would get g4 coilver rather than d2 though.
they got better warranty.

^^ all comes down to what you want to do with the car. if its going to be tracked alot then i would spend the extra money on some good coilovers. Although D2's are good for the money other brands like ksport are crap! they rust over time.....

D2's aren't that bad. I had the option of going for King Springs or spending a little bit extra and getting D2's. I don't regret it.

People make it out to be the shittest thing out when they haven't even driven on a track/spirited run or just hear from other people.
