My EP3 pump went into a CD5 so my guess would be that if they're not the same, they would be very similar.

They're all DENSO's...

Thanks for the reply,

Changing to 1.8 litre pump, would it mean that it will pump more fuel then the 1.6l pump?

no becos your injectors and ecu control the rate of fuel flow

If thats the case, why does turbo cars upgrade their fuel pump for?

The injectors (with the ecu) control the rate of flow from the fuel rail into the engine/intake port/intake runner (etc). It is possible on a modified turbo car for the injectors to try and let more fuel into the engine than the pump is able to get up to fuel rail from the tank.

Increasing the pressure can also be a trick for when you are getting up there too.

When you up the power in your car, and still use the 5-10 years old fuel pump is not a good idea.

Nissans and Toyotas do it cos most silvias and supras etc... still have the original pump. Upgrade is necessary when you are trying to double the boost and power of original.

After market pumps do flow more fuel, but remember flowing more does not make your car go faster and it will still only use what is necessary via the injectors and ecu.
