i want to know what obd ecu i have, hows the obvious way of cheking as i want to upgrade my ECU to standalone one. Currently running b18 head and b20 block

stock ecu you have post conversion? what year car?

i bought the car with the conversion in it, but im guessing was running a d16y8 ECU before conversion. Its 1996 EJ8, is that obdII?

nice... that answers it!! I was only going to answer OBDI or OBDII depending on year he posted.. forgot about a/b variant.
