Hi guys, i'll be getting a DC5R soon and i went to get a quote from RACV today and it was estimated at $4600, with 6 rating cause im 18.

My friend told me to go to "Justcarinsurance.com" which i found to be $2400 no mods.

Was wondering if anyone knows about that car insurer.. or any others ?
thanks

dun expect the insurance to be cheap with the R

That does sound right. Shop around a little but I dont think you will get it any lower.

Try maybe Shannons or Dawes. Underwriters are a little cheaper but slower to pay.

Just cars will most likely be as good as you get at ur age.

Give Shannons a go, but they will scrutinise you when you call, and will probably just say no, due to your age unless you are attend weekly club race days etc :)

justcar insurance is good.... however you will never get agreed OR market value for payout so when you quote your purchase price... add like $2k on top. Excess is significantly higher than anyone else though.

32yrs.Top rating. My mods aren't covered. So they are thier at my own risk.I just have the standard bolt ons, nothing excessive.I have told them of all my mods though so they can't use it against me in the case of an accident. They were still happy to insure me :)
Oops not $480,$600.... This is on the Gold Coast where life is wonderful, hehehe.

RACV have very cheap insurance, I was quoted $2300 per year for full from from AAMI, because of my age and being on my Ls still, and found RACV much cheaper, along the lines of $1300

thats kind of stereotypical man just cos his 18 doesnt neccessarily mean he has rich parents maybe his been saving since birth lol.. could be any number of reasons.. but this is pretty much exactly why p platers with nice cars cop jealousy acts from people ie. keying etc.

Yeh,saving since birth ;)

Man if I had rich parents I wouldn't be driving around in an expensive looking car,NO WAY.But with the money I would have one fast little stock looking car :D
Ya gotta hide that s**t not flaunt it everywhere attracting unwanted attension.
