hey guys,Im planning on putting h22a type s pistons in my h22a aus spec, would i have any problem with valve clearance since the type s pistons are abit taller than standard h22a pistons?

Is there a reason why you are going with the Type S pistons as opposed to aftermarket pistons?

Type S pistons would be a good upgrade over the stock P13 ones, there are only a handful of pistons available on the shelf that are FRM compatible with the H22A. If your sleeving it then it would be a different story.
Mahle, Cosworth/JUN are some brands that come to mind.
If you haven't taken too much off by decking the block or milling the head, I would say you be OK, with that being said it depends on what cams/head gasket combo you be using. If in doubt ask your engine builder to clay your motor so you know exactly how much room you got to play with.
With Type S pistons you need to go .25 oversize make sure you find a machine shop that has machinery thats capable of using the bore & honing process specified in the helms manual.

yeah you will be fine with valve clearances, but like bowzer said you will need to hone the block 20 thou or 40 thou as these are the 2 sizes honda make them for. Mahle and that have a piston with a special coating but imo coatings can only last soo long.. lol and these are nice standard slugs on the type S

The coating not only helps reduce friction and wear on the cylinders but more importantly these pistons are high in silicon content which have been chosen because of their low thermal expansion characteristics.
