Hey guys

I seem to be having an issue uploading JPEG files.
For example, if i try and upload a, say 120k pic, it will say "image exceeds limit by 110k" or something like that...
I have to size them down to bout 10k or less to get them to load.

I am puzzled by this, as i definately have sufficient room under my user name... It may be something i am doing wrong, i'm just really puzzled!

Is this in the gallery or as an attachment? Can you post a screenshot please?

Yeah Wyn, I've been having this problem for a while :)

The attachment sizes listed are SO SO off.

I resized an image down to 130x100 and it was 20kb; I still wasn't allowed. LOL

This was as an attachment.

I took some screen shots... but of course i cannot upload them can i :p
The two i took were a total of about 50-60kb each and it still would not let me upload.
Is there an email address i can send them to for ya too look at?

Dude, jst upload em onto photobucket.com or imageshack.us.
So much easier!!

I'm having to now; but we wouldn't need to go through all the hot-linking if the attachments worked, lol

it comes up better using the image hosts, you dont have that annoying thumbnail at the bottom

You can use an image hosting company like the guys mentioned to post the screen shot.

Let me know. Anyone else having this problem?

Aside from me?

I think most people just think 'bugger it' - and don't post it, or using the image host.

I actually only signed up with one just because the attachment service isn't functioning correctly.

See here's the thing, i can't post a screen shot coz the screen shots are too big to post!! Catch 22!!

By the time i reduce them enough to fall under the 10k that it will allow me, they become unreadable anyway!!

Guys this is why I was asking for a screenshot or atleast the correct error message. Turns out the quota for attachment (global option) was reached and the error was quite different to what the OP mentioned.

Should be fine now.

As I said man, I could not post the image, as i could not post anything including screen shots!!

Yes all fixed now. All I was saying was that if the correct error message was posted I would have been able to tell that it was a forum/server related problem (and hence resolve the problem quickly).

oH, SORRY, CHEERS ANYWAY, I WAS TOO WRAPPED UP IN TRYING TO POST UP THE MESSAGE TO REALISE THAT WAS ALL YOU NEEDED :P
