hey guys, my name is Allan, im from New Zealand
im just wondering about what performance cars are available in ozzy.
i always hear that in australia, there a lot of laws that limit modifications on cars.

yeah it just got me thinking.
well a few weeks ago, there was a australian guy looking at my friends Euro-R accord. he came out of the house to see 3 ITR's parked up outside on the road. all 3 are modded ofcourse.
his expression was like WOW WOW!! look OMG! 3 of them!!
type r's are really common here, theres probably over a 100 of them in the small city of auckland

so yeah, just out of curiosity how often/hard is it to spot a type r in ozzy?
and if you own a type r, post up your car :)

oh ok, so how much are they worth in australia?
say for a 96spec with 90kms, average condition.

I mostly see the DC5 shape now days.

Not sure about the 96 model, but you can pick up a 99 model with 50kms for about 25000, but thats AUS spec, not JDM.

Let us not forget that NZ DC2R's are jap spec are they not? The Aus spec DC2R's are very different in appearance. The guy who got excited was probably also excited by the fact that there were 3 JDM DC2R's. I would do the same thing if that happened to me - they are rare in Aus.

oh... so you guys dont really get the JDM type r's?

in NZ, we have nzdm ITR's, which are basically the same as your round lights model.
there are hardly any nzdm dc2r models in NZ (excluding the nz DC5r, which really abundant).
most of our cars are jap imports.

Yeah I wish our import laws and stuff like that was the same as in NZ. You can go there, apparently, get like a car over there for NZ$ 20,000 and get the same car here for like AU$ 40,000. And the NZ$ buys about AU$0.70 ! Ridiculous!!! It's all because we have Holdens and the government wants us to buy them or some sh!t like that. I hate Holdens.

1 NZ dollar now buys like $0.92!!! I wish it was $0.70

It is a conspiracy toey  . And as for my currency rate conversion - why do you have to be so pedantic??? Grrr.... Was exaggerating slightly dude. And it was not that long ago that the figures I used were accurate so leave me alone. :p
