Hi guys,
i need to replace my clutch.. reason being:
1. When i disengage the clutch it is really stiff(hard)
2. I can hardly feel my friction point anymore
3. speed doesnt pick up as it used to be before..

My question what do i really need to replace or get..
a whole clutch kit or just a clutch plate?
whats the exact name for the part i need..?

Help is much appreciated

ideally replace the entire clutch kit

Let the auto-spare shop know your car model and year and engine code if you know.

They will be able to work it out themselves.

if you have a stock motor get either an exedy or daikin clutch kit
should come with the pressure plate, clutch plate and spigot bearing

budget another $300 odd for labour if you're not doing it yourself

replace the clutch plate (friction surface), pressure plate, clutch cover/diaphragm spring (basically a fingered spring that pushes the clutch plate onto the flywheel), thrust bearing (pushes on the diaphragm spring when you press pedal, might be why its hard to push pedal for you)
Those are the four things you get in a clutch kit,get the kit.
Also, the flywheel might need maching, ask whoever is doing it to check for signs of glazing or wear, then it needs machining before clutch fitted.
