exedy sports tuff or TODA single plate are pretty similar and are a good uprated disc for daily driving. If you want somthing a bit harder, even though u proably wont need it, Exedy hyper single or TODA clutch Kit.

Check the web sites

I just got my TODA kit delivered last week, gonna put it in after new year so will let you know how it is, it also has lighten flywheel (3.8kg), price installed $2500, the cheapest I could find in perth and it's gonna be done by pro workshop which I trust.

Hey guys.. sorry to side track a little... But would a toda flywheel be used with stock clutch or any sports clutch sets ? Or do i have to specifically use toda flywheels with the toda clutch kits ? I have a exedy heavy duty clutch set..

Toda clutch and fly package as well as Exedy are great!

Usual price for install at the InTheRed workshop is about $2000 installed including clutch (depending on car).

Pm me for details guys if you like

Flywheel can be used with any clutch, or PP (presure plate) doesnt have to be TODA.

The new PP is included in deal, not sure if it's toda but they are putting new one in.

It is possible to rebuild any clutch. I've had an OEM rebuilt and uprated and also an Exedy Hyper Single.

Note: the Exedy's and others that look like the OEM are exactly the same. It is a patented design made for Honda by Exedy. I'm also reasonably sure the Toda heavy duty one is a remarketed Exedy Hyper Single.

Now I had the uprated OEM and it was pretty good but if you slipped it in traffic it would slip until it cooled down.

The rebuilt Hyper Single is strong as but bloddy hard to drive street. I stall all the time.

There are two clutches produced by TODA for the S2000.
The 1st is an uprated or sports clutch disc than can be use with the standard or TODA flywheel.
http://www.toda-racing.co.jp/jp/product/flywheel/f20c2.jpg
It is a full face organic disc & it is used with the OEM clutch cover & release bearing.
Though grippier, the pedal feel is exactly as stock. Just increased bite.

The High Power Single is a completly re-designed clutch & flywheel system.
Only the OEM release bearing is retained.
http://www.toda-racing.co.jp/jp/product/flywheel/single_f20.jpg
Pedal feel is a little heavier & the bite is significantly more aggressive.
Both can be rebuilt & replacement parts are available.

The closest product produced by Exedy would be a Hyper Comp R flywheel & clutch kit.
http://www.exedy.co.jp/racing/pro/img/cr-p1.jpg
However this is not currently available.
The Hyper Single is similar in it's construction & performance ability however the flywheel is not significantly lightened, so the benifit of this is not realised.
http://www.exedy.co.jp/racing/pro/img/hys-p1.jpg
Exmple of this can be seen here: http://www.exedy.com.au/showcase.htm

The standard clutch kit from Exedy is the same as the OEM kit.
(Wayne is right about the patent.)
PN: HCK-7201
Exedy Australia produce 2 other variants of this & they are made in Melbourne.
The Heavy Duty kit - HCK-7201 HD
& the heavy duty cushion button kit - HCK-7201 HDCB
There is currently no sports organic type kit that would be directly comparable with the TODA product (see above - top)
Any of the HCK-7201 range of clutches can be used with any aftermarket flywheel that is compatible with the standard clutch kit.
Hope that helps.
Cheers

Adrian
