theres nothing you can really check out as far as mechanics go theyre relativly trouble free, main issue is sensors fouling up around the 130K km mark.

Non high reving you should be able to get 450-500km out of a full tank.

worst problem i have had ( and only really) with my two Si's that i have owned....

is the distributor failing - and main relay failing too.

Being a compolsory part of an engine - get these checked and or repaired/overhauled - at a cost of $300 for a dizzy rebuild , and about $50 for the main relay.

Apart from this - if u treat her nice ( and more importantly...the previous owner/s have treated her nice too..) u should be in for another 50,000 kms of trouble free motoring :)

Si's rock :)

i definatly wouldnt be paying 9-11k for a Si.
do urself a favour and grab a VTi. better equiptment level. Newer and u can pick em up for 8-10k. Si's run 6-9k, depending on condition (most are beatup by now).
