work at all ? or half-works ( the needle works sometimes and jumps all over the place) ? You have an issue with the connections - not securely plugged in etc.

nuh its half works - it goes about 10 times slower than it should...ie when i get to about 6000rpm in 1st, the needle will be pointing to <1000rpm

yeah i was thinking of just taking it to the auto electrician, but i got it to work for a few minutes after re-installing it, i just got fed up with it, so i put it back in without working for now. if i pull the needle away from the actual face it seems to work a bit better...

did you guys make sure that the needle clears the new faces. I had a similar problem on a nissan when i put on the white face dials over the stock ones and the needle was rubbing on them and not working properly

Did you pull the needles off to swap the faces? Because you have probably put it back on wrong. You cant just put it onto 0 RPM, it goes weird.

Have you tried starting the car, so its roughly 1k RPM, (or w/e idle RPM is) then you put the needle on the idle.
