Engine number integra vtir

Hey ppl,

I bought what i believed to be a vtir, now honda have the vin listed as a vti model, the engine starts with b18c2, i thought this was the start for a vtir engine??

It has dual airbags, sunroof, alloys etc but gsi brake calipers??

Anyone clear this up?

afaik gsi and vti-r brakes were the same, gsi engine would be b18b
your engine is definitely a vti-r engine

and there were no 'vti' integra's in the dc shape, only gsi, vti-r and the type r

Sweet it must be a vtir then, I checked out redbook as well and all seems ok

yep, VTiR engine no. is B18C2 & GSI engine no. is B18B2
