hi, where do you guys and girls take your beloved hondas when taking it to a service? i be getting a honda soon and its been serviced by honda since new.
my questions is im pretty sure a factory service would cost more but are they better? where do you people go?
Thanks
ps in sydney :)

all you have to do is flush the oil, and gotta replace the oil filter and the cap, and check brakes, etc, ive done that once at my friends gf's dads workshop but i cant just rock up there anytime i want, only if my mates there. yeah been to hannys once, are they that good? everyone has had experience with them and they all say its good??

i agree with everyone else, try to do it yourself. saves you money and you learn a bit more about your car

though there are positives with taking it to your honda dealer bcos they fill out your logbook

if you do it your self you can save shit loads of money. especially when it comes to a major service. but it is very important that it is done right, as you dont wanna be skipping important things that need to be done. If your gonna DIY do it properly or get someone to do the hard parts you couldnt do. eg timming, tappets, timming belt, 94-97 accord fuel filter that is tight :( . dont leave it coz it was too hard. could cost you more in the long run

I have my dc2r serviced at Formula Honda (North East Rd Walkerville) and I find that they are pretty good. I've never had any problems. But they are not cheap!

either proconcept or red suns performance as I know the guys there. Proconcept is quite good as they run 3 racing civics and distributor for Spoon sports and Tein.

Keep in mind though...

Service urself = difficult to resale...

Had a car that I serviced myself for 40k+ and bloody hard to get rid of...

Not too hard if I keep quiet on the service history but they keep bugging on it...

So... I keep my cars serviced by Honda or reputable mechanic from now on
