My driver side window makes a lot of noise going up now, it's electric and obviously something needs to oiled as is struggles to make it to the top. Also my gearbox is pretty rough around second, and going into reverse from neutral is often really hard, I usually have to try a few times or go into 5th then reverse, will I need a whole new gearbox or just replace the clutch plate or something?

my windows are pretty noisy compare to wynodes windows. to lube the gear/contact surfaces u need to take the door panel off - which isnt that hard.

as for the gearbox issues, those are pretty common 'complaints' but are just a design charactoristic of our box's. reverse has no syncro, so u most of the time need to put it into anther gear to get everything to line up (without crunching reverse) 2nd is usually a bit tought in the monring for most ppl. if ur really worried, doa gearbox oil flush and replace. my 2nd gear stickyness kinda went away after i did my last 1.

Before going into reverse, try giving the car a bit of a rev to raise the rpm a little. I've noticed it works on most cars I drive :)

get some silicon spray and spray your window seals, hopefully the window should go up much easier afterwards.

for the reverse gear..when ur at a stop, put in netural, let go of clutch, then push clutch, put into first then into reverse...works all the time with no curnching or anything.

I think I'll be getting the engine oil changed soon, I'll see about doing the trannie at the same time.

Check that rubber/plastic seal on the door. Most likely the inner seal is stuffed.
