Hey there fellow Euro owners. Well after doing hardly any searching on ebay i found a cheaper and just as simple alternative for a replica Mugen grill.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Accord-Euro-R-Acura-TSX-04-05-Carbon-Fiber-Grill-Grille_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1638Q2em122QQcat egoryZ33645QQihZ021QQitemZ310009668663QQrdZ1QQsspa genameZWD2V

double sided tape and that adhesive promoter most of us got left over from getting the S/S door sills.

= cheap alternative of Mugen Grill

:) Just trying to help other people like myself who are not willing to spend 300+ on the genuine stuff :D

Considering I paid at the time about 300 for the mugen one . I would disagree

hey guys

would this fit my accord euro that i purchased july 2007?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JDM-Accord-Euro-R-Acura-TSX-06-07-Mesh-Grill-Grille_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33645QQihZ021QQi temZ310012509023QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

anyone know any potential problems?

thanks

It should fit as it says for 06-07 =)

I heard sometimes there is a slight gap, so it doesn't fight exactly flush. Not 100% sure on this one but.

Yes Alan there is a slight gap. but really once you finished it and look at it you don't really notice that small gap. Looks good anyway .

That's the one I've got.

Didn't have a gap at the bottom which is a common problem with the 03-05 model, however I did need to trim up to 5mm off each side to get a perfect parallel fit down the sides.

Check out my pic to see it finished.

wow that looks quite good

did you have to trim that 5mm or so to be able to fit it in properly? or can i just put it straight in and it should be fine?

did you buy it from the same ebay seller as the one in the link? if so hjow long was postage ?

thanks

Took about 15 min to trim with a diamond blade in my angle grinder, bit of a sand and a can of spray paint......

If you don't fit it first you won't get a nice even margin with the body.

Same guy, took about 10 days from Canada.
I was surprised at the quality, so it made it easy to fit.

Thanks!

I just bought it. Hopefully everything works out well. Total cost including shipping is $132.

I'm not really sure where I'm gonna get it painted/installed though.

Any recommendations?

Thanks

just wondering is this grill easy to install myself?

does it come with anything else other than the grill i.e. screws and stuff?

as i have absolutely zero car modding experience im not sure how easy/hard it'd be to install the grill. better to bring it to a place that can install it instead ?

Now that I know it can fit on the 06/07 Euro, I think I may follow suit.

You really have to be a bit "handy".

I already had the gear such as a diamond blade for my angle grinder etc.
It's a bit fiddly to get a perfect fit, just takes a little patience..........
As long as you're confident fitting it, if you do stuff up the paint job you can always then take it to a paint shop. You can always practise on the primer.

You reuse your existing clips, and just have to measure and drill the top holes to exactly match your old one, so that it aligns with the bonnet.

Surprisingly this grill arrived yesterday and managed to get it painted and installed today.

Overall cost was $100 painting and $50 installation. I'm sure I could of gotten it done cheaper elsewhere but I couldn't be bothered wasting time trying to find one and having to drive out really far just to save a little bit of money.

Overall, the fit was very nice. Didn't need to trim any parts off, and the person that installed it had to drill a few holes and put in some screws to make it more secure. It is something I definitely would not have been able to do myself.

Now I need a mugen badge!

thanks

i got it painted and installed by some local panel beater near my area. i just googled panel beaters and picked the closest one to me.

when i first opened it from the box it looked kinda dodgey, but after painting it it looked fabulous. and the installation to me looked quite complex because he took out the front bump and drilled some holes and put some screws to connect it to the bumper. but after he put everything back everything looked great as you can see from the photos.
