View Full Version : putting tyres on different width rims
just a quick question. say i have 2 pairs of rims one 15x6.5 one 15x7. if i put 195 semis on the 15x7 and run them til they are worn then put them on the 15x6.5 is that still alrite, would the tyre be stretched?
because if i run 2 pairs or rim for track, then i cant really rotate the rims and i just wanna see if i can still get the most out of the tyres.

Tyre stretch as in tyre width is too small for rim width?
If so.... 195 on a 6.5" is in no way stretch....nothing to worry about.
My concern would be the potential for someone to screw the bead up pulling tyres off and on.

i meant after using the 195 on 15x7 for a while, pulling them off and putting them on the 15x6.5 will the tyre not fit as well because it has been on a wider rim. and yah u told me about ur concern for pulling off and putting on tyres

the difference is very minor. I pulled some tyres off my 15x7 and put them on my 15x6.5 also. Nor issues so long as they seal them properly
