Hey
I installed an h22 in my civic and it has always run rich (Really rich) and it blows a lot of smoke when you hit vtec, would a air fuel controller fix this problem?? Sorry if its an obvious answere.

if the smoke is at vtec switchover, the jdm h22a is known to do this.
if its all over, then it might be wise to get onto a dyno adn find out the prob
leaning the fuel out shouldnt be a problem. its when u add fuel that ur MAP will go out of range.
go ahead, an afc should be able to tune a lil more power outa it.

mate, my jdm h22a does the same thing but i reset my ecu by disconecting the battery the other week and even though i gave my car a good flogging on the last tank of fuel i have gottten 430km out of it, best i had got b4 was about 380.
it does get a bit annoying with it running rich but its better than running lean.
Tell me hoe you go with the air/fuel controller cos if it works for you i might get one too.
