View Full Version : ECU imitation?
Hey guys was looking round on ebay and found this http://cgi.ebay.com.au/REAL-Performance-Chip-HONDA-CIVIC-ACCORD-LEGEND-32-BHP_W0QQitemZ350006048814QQihZ022QQcategoryZ32094Q QssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem and i was wondering if it would do anything performance wise if installed or is it just an expensive piece of plastic?
Thanks, Chris.

ya know, you could pick up some halogen headlight fluid to go with that...
ie. its a scam... already been long established that these things produce no gains whatsoever. the fact that its $30 didnt tip you off?
rofl yeah, although some ppl have said in their feedback that it has worked...

I have had a resistor I bought initially on ebay.com.au then I found out I could buy em at Tandy. It defintely made my car quite a bit more responsive.I have heard people say it will burn out your vales but I got a FPR to regulate the fuel so you can fiddle with that.
You put it in the IAT sensor.
my mate brought a chip for his VL calias (rb30) motor. it was definately noticable... and was also notable that it guzzled more fuel. Vtec killer cams ftw!!
yeah im guessing it would just make the car use more fuel in turn for that small power gain

Forces the ECU to think car is cold and allows more air through. You'll notice your rear bumper begins to blacken up after a while. Runs real rich and that ain't good for your motor...though better than running lean.
Either way, it's a waste of money. Most of them come with a shitty base map, or a map off of a car that did great times 10 years ago.
