Hi guys,

just about to get a response amp from jaycar..

it's 4x50WRMS :
- power/channel @4ohms 14.4V: 50WRMS x 4
- power/channel @4ohms 14.4V: 160WRMS x 2

so, i'm gonna run 2 ch to the front splits and bridged another 2 ch to run 2x10inch sub (@4ohms)

what u guys reckon??

i got response amps, for the money, they actually go better than the name brands.
currently currning 4 x 100 for my quart speakers,
and a 800 mono for 2 12" type s..
and it bumps hard.
go for it, but know that its always best 2 get best first, later.

currently running alpine type r components and jaycar kevlars with the 4x100 Class D amp, highly recommend their gear for those on a budget.

i don't reckon bridging 2x160 would be enough for 2x10"

its a good amp for the price but trying to run 2 subs and a set of splits off it will be pushing it very hard and the subs especially will not get enough power to run them anywhere near as good as a dedicated sub amp will...

The jaycar range is definately ok value for money, but reliability wise, and quality wise, you really get what you pay for when it comes to choosing an amp. If you are looking for the cheapest way out possible then its a good choice otherwise spend some more cash :D

just put it this way... if your budget is within that response price range or maybe even add $100-150 to that, then don't bother and just get the response amp since it is the best value for money in that price range.. but if budget allows, there are much better amps out there

i would consider saving a bit more to get a mono for the sub or at least a more powerful 4 channel. there is always the option of second hand gear as well tho such as from Mobile Electronics Australia forums (http://www.mobileelectronics.com.au/forums/index.php)
